PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently cool a hot melt adhesive applied to the back of a text block in radio bookbinding.SOLUTION: An application layer (3) of the hot melt adhesive melted in the back (1a) of a text block (1) is formed, and a cover (5) is supported by a cooling plate (6). The back (5a) of the cover (5) on the cooling plate (6) and the back (1a) of the text block (1) are made to adhere via the application layer (3), and the hot melt adhesive of the application layer (3) is simultaneously started to be cooled from above the back (5a) of the cover (5) by the cooling plate (6), and afterwards, is continuously cooled up to the temperature at which the hot melt adhesive exhibits predetermined adhesive strength. |
