PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method capable of permitting larger daily doses of an mTOR inhibitor and greater cumulative exposure to the drug than would be preferred on a 7-day/week schedule which is a simple schedule in common use without unduly increasing the risk of mouth sores, especially the risk of more severe grades of such mouth sores, and without impairing a treatment effect using the mTOR inhibitor.SOLUTION: A treatment method comprises a step of administering an mTOR inhibitor such as sirolimus, temsirolimus, everolimus, or AP23573 for four or five consecutive days per week, respectively, to a patient in need for treatment, and for the following three or two days, respectively, without treatment with the mTOR inhibitor. |
