PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of reducing a difference in image density by changing density of developer on the surface of a developer carrier to a larger state so as to reduce a difference in the toner adhesion amount between an image part and a non-image part.SOLUTION: A developing device 5 stores a developer G having a carrier and toner, circulates and conveys the developer G in one direction, and develops a latent image formed on an image carrier 1 that is arranged opposite thereto. The developing device 5 includes: a developer carrier 50 that conveys the developer to a development nip part formed by the developer carrier 50 being arranged opposite to the image carrier; a developer regulating member 52 that regulates the amount of the developer carried by the developer carrier; and two conveyance members 53 and 54 that convey the developer stored in the device along a longitudinal direction of the developer carrier to form a circulation path. The developing device 5 is further provided with developer density changing members 57 and 100 that changes an adsorption state of the developer on the developer carrier from the downstream of the development nip part to the developer regulating member with respect to the developer conveyance direction of the developer carrier 50.
