Provided is a dental block from which a new-type dental abutment can be cut readily, wherein the new-type dental abutment is so adapted as to be capable of covering a gap formed between a gingiva and the dental abutment as the result of the retraction of the gingiva after the fixing of a dental prosthesis employing a dental implant system. The dental block is provided with, on one flat surface (1a) of a block body (1): a locking part (2) which has a bolt through-hole (2a) and is so adapted that a dental implant fixture can be inserted through the through-hole (2a) to fix the block body (1) to the dental implant fixture; a ring-shaped contact surface (3) which is formed from an edge part (2b) and around the edge part (2b), is parallel to the one surface (1a) of the block body (1), and contacts with the upper surface on the oral cavity inner side of the dental implant fixture, wherein the edge part (2b) is located in the block body (1) further inward relative to the one surface (1a) of the block body (1) and is also located on the oral cavity innermost side of the locking part (2); and a mortar-shaped diameter-enlarged part (4) which is so formed that the diameter of the mortar-shaped diameter-enlarged part (4) is gradually enlarged from the ring-shaped contact surface (3) toward the one surface (1a) of the block body (1). |
