PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell aggregation device or the like capable of efficiently aggregating suitable cells in short time.SOLUTION: A holder 1 is formed by laminating a plate 3, a light absorber 5 and a transparent plate 9 in this order. The light absorber 5 is provided on a lower surface side of the transparent plate 9. The plate 3 is arranged on a lower surface side of the light absorber 5. The transparent plate 9 holds the light absorber 5 and the plate 3, and transmits laser beam entering from above. Quartz glass having the thickness of about 0.2 mm, for example, can be used as the transparent plate 9. The holder 1 has an arc-shaped cross-sectional shape which curves on one cross section. A large number of wells 7 are provided in the plate 3. Cells 13 are placed in the wells 7. In other words, the plate 3 functions as a cell holding section that holds cells.
