CONDENSATION DRYER WITH A CONDENSATE PUMP, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A CONDENSATION DRYER

A condensation dryer 1 with a drum 2 for receiving laundry items 2a to be dried is driven by a drive motor 3. A process air channel 10 leads from the interior of the drum 2 into a heat sink constructed as a heat exchanger 6, and a collection container 13 is assigned to the heat exchanger 6 for receiving condensate discharged therefrom. A condensate pump 14 is connected on the suction side to the collection container 13 and is to have a control unit 19 arranged in a pressure line 15, via which control unit the pressure line 15 can be connected on the one hand to a bypass routed into the collection container 13 and on the other hand to a condensate collecting device 16 or a condensate discharge device. The invention also relates to a method for operating a condensation dryer equipped with a condensate pump.
