<p>The present invention provides: a cancer detection method that includes measuring, in a biological sample and using an antigen-antibody reaction, the expression of a polypeptide that has binding reactivity with an antibody against CAPRIN-1 having an amino acid sequence represented by any of the even sequence numbers from SEQ ID NO:2-30 in the sequence listing; a cancer detection method for determining the presence of CAPRIN-1 and the amount thereof in a cancer patient sample, in order to determine the administration, to the cancer patient, of a drug that targets CAPRIN-1; and a cancer diagnostic agent or a cancer diagnostic kit containing an anti-CAPRIN-1 antibody.</p> |
