PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel production method of a ferrite nanoparticle in which the particle diameter is in a range of 30-250 nm, that has a sphere shape, in which the particle diameter is aligned, and that is used for biotechnology and the medical field.SOLUTION: A production method of a spherical ferrite nanoparticle 116 includes: a process 102 in which disaccharide is dissolved in pure water in which oxygen is satisfactorily eliminated; a process 104 in which a divalent iron ion such as ferrous chloride is added; a process 106 in which a seed crystal such as a ferrite fine particle is dispersed; a process 108 in which an alkali such as NaOH is added; a process 110 in which an oxidizer such as NaNOis added; a process 112 in which particle growth is performed; and a process 114 in which cleaning and magnetic separation are performed.
