PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enabling an application using a function unique to a printer driver to use the function even when setting is not supported by the printer driver due to a change in specifications.SOLUTION: An extension module accepts an instruction to control print information from an application, and when determining that the received instruction is the update request of print information, determines whether or not a first set value designated from the application is supported, and when determining that the first set value is not supported, determines a second set value with which the first set value can be substituted, and sets the determined second set value to the print information, and writes the first set value in information to be transmitted/received to/from the application, and when determining that the received instruction is the acquisition request of print setting information, determines whether or not the information to be transmitted/received to/from the application is written, and returns the print setting information to the application on the basis of the information. |
