PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a button fixing member that has an improved appearance when viewed from the back side, in which waste fabric prone to remain in a post part of the button fixing member and a protruding-end side portion of the caulked post part cannot be seen from the back side.SOLUTION: A metallic button fixing member 10 used for fixing a button to fabric includes a plate-like base part 11 and a cylindrical post part 12 protruding out from the center of the base part. The protruding end surface of the post part is opened as an upper end opening 13 and the base end surface of the post part is opened as a bottom end opening 14 at the center of the base part. The button fixing member further includes a closing member 20 for closing the base end side of the inner part of the post part, and the closing member is formed by punching down a closing part closing the protruding end surface of a semi-post part which is an intermediate member to be processed to the button fixing member.
