A CRT including a electrostatic two-dimensional lens for compensating the distortion of the beam spot on the screen at its peripheral area caused by beam deflection and a magnetic quadra-pole lens for compensating dynamically the distortion of the beam spot on the screen at its central area caused by the electrostatic two-dimensional lens, was designed. Distortion of the beam spot was compensated by small power dissipation.
