PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial agent, particularly a cationic peptide, which can be used for treatment of bacterial infections, such as infections caused by a Staphylococcus strain and a Pseudomonas strain.SOLUTION: Provided is a peptide for use as an antibacterial agent or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The peptide has 9-15, preferably 9-13, further preferably 11-13 adjacent arginine residues, and may have 0, 1 or 2 substitutions in the amino acid sequence. |
