The transmitter (16) has a torque transmission element (28) that is connected with a transmitter portion (24) and is provided with a transmission shaft (10) which is displaced along axial direction. A main clutch element (32) is fixedly connected with transmitter portion and a complementary gear wheel clutch element (34). A slit friction ring is engaged with a gear wheel (12,14) and a friction surface. An independent claim is included for a gearbox.
