PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change a registered merchandise name even in a sales data processor which does not include any keyboard for character input.SOLUTION: In a sales data processor, a CPU receives merchandise name information including a plurality of types of merchandise names of merchandise from an information center server, and stores the received merchandise name information in a merchandise name reception file, and the CPU creates a merchandise name reception report R in which a bar code indicating a merchandise code and a character string included in the received merchandise name information and an address number indicating the storage position in the merchandise name reception file of each character included in the character string are printed. When the bar code of the merchandise name reception report R is read, and the address number is input by an input part, the CPU acquires the character string corresponding to the input address number from the merchandise name reception file, and rewrites the merchandise name of the merchandise of a PLU(Price Look Up) file with the acquired character string. |
