PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal authentication device capable of performing authentication processing of a user according to various holding modes.SOLUTION: The personal authentication device includes: housing; an output section located within the housing capable of outputting a transient signal; an input section located within the housing capable of inputting a transient signal output from the output section; and a tactile sensor located within the housing capable of detecting a contact point on the housing. The personal authentication device performs authentication based on a transient signal outputted by the output section and input/output relationship of the transient signal inputted to the input section and changes the operation of the authentication based on the contact point. |
