PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine system that can suppress corrosion of an engine in a non-conventional manner.SOLUTION: An engine system includes: an EGR passage that contains an outlet connected to an exhaust passage through which exhaust gas of an engine passes, and returns the exhaust gas to an intake side of the engine; a urea addition valve that is provided on the exhaust passage on an upstream side of the outlet, and adds urea to the exhaust gas; and an SCR catalyst that is provided on the exhaust passage on a downstream side of the outlet, and selectively reduces NOx in the exhaust gas with ammonia as a reducing agent, the ammonia being produced by hydrolysis of urea. |
