PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To substantially eliminate wear of a bearing due to foreign matters.SOLUTION: A bearing cleaning device 29 includes an air supply pipe 30 which introduces air outside a casing 11 into clearances (air chambers 27A, 27B) between bearings 22A, 22B and a main shaft 19, and a cleaning control section 45 which stops a pump 10 with a gate valve 18 closed and lowers the water level in the casing 11 while supplying the air into the clearances 27A, 27B from the air supply pipe 30 so as to clean bearings 22A, 22B. |
