PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing instrument able to easily obtain an image to which a special image effect, different from an ordinary photographic image, is added.SOLUTION: The photographing instrument comprises: a photographing optical system having a plurality of movable lens groups 3b, 3c, and 3d, which are movable along an optical axis O, and configured to vary power, adjust focus, and correct aberrations, by altering the respective positions of the movable lens groups on the optical axis; a plurality of position detecting means 22 for detecting the positions of the movable lens groups of the photographing optical system on the optical axis; a signal output section 21 configured to output status information of the photographing optical system and position information of each movable lens group based on an output signal of the position detecting means; a display section 61 configured to display a photographic image and variety of information; and control means 66 for receiving the status information and position information output from the signal output section and display the status information and position information on the display section. |
