PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electrophotographic photoreceptor that includes a surface layer having a good film surface condition and sufficiently cured into the inside of the layer, has high abrasion resistance and scratch resistance, has good electric characteristics, and forms high-quality images for a long period, to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor manufactured by the method, and to provide an image forming apparatus including the electrophotographic photoreceptor.SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor is configured to have at least a photosensitive layer and a surface layer on a conductive support. A manufacturing method of the electrophotographic photoreceptor includes the steps of: forming a coated film on the photosensitive layer by using a coating liquid for a surface layer containing a radical polymerizable compound; causing subsequently the conductive support (a photoreceptor drum 1) to be immersed, for example, in a cylindrical container 2 made of quartz glass to bring an outer surface of the coated film into contact with water 3 so as to cover and shield the outer surface from ambient air containing oxygen; and irradiating subsequently the coated film with light (for example, UV light 4) through the aqueous phase to cure the coated film so as to form the surface layer. An image forming apparatus is configured by arranging the electrophotographic photoreceptor manufactured by the method. |
