For instance, processes are described for assessing a risk of fraud associated with publicly recorded documents describing transactions associated with real estate properties. In one embodiment, a process accesses appropriate data (e.g., aggregated loan data, aggregated property data such as property transaction history data, etc.) and processes the data to determine whether one or more triggering conditions are met. The triggering conditions are indicative of an elevated risk of fraud with respect to a transaction such as a publicly recorded lien release.</p> |
