IRIS RECOGNITION COMBINATION CAMERA HAVING REGULAR IMAGE CAPTURING AND IRIS RECOGNITION CAPTURING MODES

The present invention relates to configuring a commonly used camera into a camera which can recognize the iris. To this end, a means for selecting an image capturing mode, which can capture an image by selecting a general camera using visible rays or an iris-capturing camera using infrared rays, and a reflection/penetration filter (or a combined prism) for allowing light in the visible ray area to penetrate through and reflecting light in the infrared ray area to be reflected from light which is incidented through a lens according to each of the image capturing mode that is selected, are installed inside the camera, wherein the light in the visible ray area that has passed through the reflection/penetration filter is incidented onto a visible light ray image sensor, and the light in the infrared ray area that is reflected from the reflection/penetration filter is incidented onto an iris-capturing image sensor. As a result, an iris recognition combination color camera using two image sensors, which can be selectively used by a user, and an IR LED can be provided.
