The screen is for the windings of rotating brush electric motors. The screen provides magnetic shielding preventing unwanted EMF being generated by the fixed part of the motor. The screens (18) in thin sheet metal are placed against the sides of the windings of the rotating part on their opposite or outside faces. Where this positioning is inconvenient the screen can be 'L'-shaped following the coil end face profile reventing coupling of unwanted fields and allowing the requires field to be set up.
