<p>Rebated (3) timber members (1, 2) are used to fabricate complementary casement and glazing frames fow windows, having an identical cross section to rationalise joinery operations. Cutting may be effected from rough section of identical or different cross section, utilising milling cutters or similar, and providing for a 100% recovery of waste battens for use as glazing retaining beads (4). The rebates may include a groove (7) for casement seals (8) or glazing fram drainage. Rebated and beveled cross sectional forms may be wrought by milling cutters, several component cutters of different radial outstands and profiles being mounted on a common shaft.</p> |
