The method involves providing a resonant circuit (6) with an induction heating coil (3). The converter (2) is provided for producing alternating current (AC) voltage (UN) and drive voltage (UA) with driving frequency. The drive voltage with driving frequency is supplied to resonant circuit, to produce alternating magnetic field for heating the inductively heatable cooking vessel. The data is transferred from induction heating device (1) to receiver (10) of inductively heatable cooking vessel by encoding driving frequency of drive voltage. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) induction heating device; (2) inductively heatable cooking vessel; and (3) system for transferring data from induction heating device to receiver of inductively heatable cooking vessel.
