<p>The component has two main electrodes (2, 3) arranged so as to form a spark-gap (4), and trigger elements (10, 11) distinct from the main electrodes. The trigger elements are arranged such that a disruptive discharge (12) appears between the trigger elements to cause a sparkover of an electric arc (6) between the electrodes. The trigger elements are formed by auxiliary electrodes (14, 15). The elements extend in an inter-electrode space (5) that separates the main electrode (2) from the main electrode (3).
