FUEL INJECTION CONTROL IN AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

Provided is a fuel injection control in an internal combustion engine. Onto each injector, an actuation signal is permitted. The actuation signal possesses a performance function and a pulse width calculated based on an initial transfer pulse corresponding to a minimum pulse width which is required for opening the injector. The minimum pulse width is determined by comparing: a voltage on electromagnetic actuator of the fuel injector; and duration time of second derivative segment of the voltage; to a preset threshold value.
