It becomes feasible to make a non-aqueous-system secondary battery exhibit a higher capacity by using this active material for the non-aqueous-system secondary battery. Moreover, since the active material for non-aqueous-system secondary battery according to the present invention includes an alkali metal that works as electrolyte ions, another active material that is used for the counter electrode is not limited. For example, in a lithium-ion secondary battery, the safety upgrades because it is possible to forgo employing electrodes that include metallic lithium.
