The radial type vehicle pneumatic tire comprises reinforcing materials passing in a radial direction, and metal particles in a region of belt edges and/or belt layers (2). The reinforcing materials are made of textile cord and/or steel cord. The metal particles: form directly above and/or below the belt edges and/or the belt layers; are coated; have a particle size of 0.1-3 mm; are prismatically formed; and are present above a rubber strip between the steel cord- reinforcement layers.
