A convertible bench (figure 1) comprises a seat portion and a backrest which converts into a two-seater picnic table. The bench includes a mechanism for dividing the seat portion into two smaller elongate seats (figure 2) and a rotating mechanism for rotating the backrest to form a horizontal tabletop. The smaller seat portions are connected using extendable arms (figure 3). The tabletop is held in its horizontal position by means of a locking member that is fixed to each of the two smaller seats forming a triangular frame (figure 4). |
