<p>Compsns. contg. a hydrofluoride of a 5 or 6-membered, unsatd, nitrogen-contg. heterocycle, apart from those contg. a pyridine ring, are new. Medicaments contg. the hydrofluorides of 18 amines are specifically claimed including 2-nitro imidazole; 2-acetylamino-5-nitro thiazole; 1-(2-hydroxyethyl) -2-methyl-5-nitro imidazole; 4,5- diphenyl imidazole; 5,7-dichloro-8-hydroxy quinoline; 5-nitro- 8-hydroxy quinoline; 3-(5-chloro-2-hydroxy phenyl) pyrazole; 2-benzyl imidazoline; 2-undecyl imidazole; pyrrole; pyrazinamide; pyrimidine; isoxazole. The compsns. may be formulated as mouth washes, gingival pastes, chewing gum, tooth pastes, gels and tablets. Used for the prevention and treatment of dental caries.</p> |
