摘要 Disclosed are a dual control apparatus applied to an instrumentation and control system of a nuclear power plant based on a field programmable gate array (FPGA); and a dual switching method. According to embodiments of the present invention, even though a failure occurs in one FPGA board among the duplicated FPGA control apparatuses, a normal operation can be maintained under another FPGA board by performing dual switching by determining failure according to whether a beat signal is received or not. Further, when applied to the instrumentation and control system of the nuclear power plant, the dual control apparatus can perform a main arithmetic function by substituting analog and digital signal processor (DSP) boards. Utilization of the control apparatus is further improved by using the duplicated FPGA.
