<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generating device, which has excellent reaction efficiency, can be made small in size and inexpensively produces high concentration hydrogen. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen generating device includes a reforming unit 2 including a reforming catalyst, a heating unit 3 heating the reforming unit 2, and a separating unit 4 having a hydrogen separation membrane that selectively permeates hydrogen from the reformed gas generated in the reforming unit 2. In the reforming unit 2, different reforming catalysts are separately applied, so as to divide the reforming unit 2 into an upstream unit where a dehydrogenation reaction and/or a steam reforming reaction of the fuel is induced and a downstream unit where a steam reforming reaction of methane and/or carbon monoxide generated in the upstream unit is induced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
