PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently and surely improve operability when replenishing paper in a sheet material stacking device. SOLUTION: This sheet material stacking device includes a paper feed tray 110 for stacking a sheet material thereon, and an end fence 120 which is disposed so as to be brought into contact with and separated from the sheet end of the sheet material stacked on the paper feed tray 110 and which regulates the position of the sheet material by coming into contact with the sheet end. The end fence 120 includes a lock member 130 which is set in the locking state where the lock member is engaged with the paper feed tray 110 and the unlocking state where the lock member is separated from a sheet stacking part, an operation part 140 which is disposed above the lock member 130, connected to the lock member 130, and sets the lock member in the locking state or the unlocking state, and a rod 133 for connecting the operation part 140 and the lock member.
