Abradable coating with spiral grooves in a turbomachine

The machine has movable blades moving around a rotational axis in housing. The blades include blade tips e.g. tip plating, for partially rubbing a friction coating (1) during an operation of the coating that is arranged in the housing. The coating includes spiral-shaped grooves (2, 2') e.g. circular annular groove, that run in a longitudinal extension and rotate around a rotational axis with an axial component. The grooves are helically arranged around the rotational axis. The coating includes a radially rotating groove that limits region with the spiral-shaped grooves. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a turbo machine.
