The present invention relates to a microvalve for controlling liquid flows in a microfluidic system, wherein the microvalve comprises a regulable plunger (1), an elastic foil (2) and a structured layer (3), characterized in that at least two ducts (4, 5) are structured in the layer (3), which ducts are separated by a web (6), the elastic foil (2) is fixedly connected to the structured layer (3) outside the web (6), the elastic foil (2) is not connected to the structured layer (3) at least in a region of the web (6), and a front surface of the regulable plunger (1) makes contact with the elastic foil (2) and, within the dimension of the web (6), covers that region of the elastic foil (2) which is not connected to the structured layer (3), such that in a first state, the elastic foil (2) is held on the structured layer by the plunger and the elastic foil (2) acts together with the web (6) as a seal, and wherein, in a second state, the spacing (13) between the front surface of the regulable plunger (1) and the elastic foil (2) is increased such that the foil (2) is no longer held on the web (6) by the plunger (1) and a fluidic connection is produced between the two ducts (4, 5). |
