A natural evaporation type humidifier which, although small in size, has high humidifying performance. A sheet-like member (1) is provided with a water supply section (2) for supplying water to a humidifying section (3), and also with the humidifying section (3) for performing humidification by evaporating the water supplied from the water supply section (2). Because the water supply section (2) immersed in the water is folded up, that portion of the sheet-like member (1) which has a large area is compact in size, and this allows the portion to be immersed in water so as to function as the water supply section (2). That is, although compactly formed, that portion of the sheet-like member (1) which has the area which is relatively large can function as the water supply section (2), and as a result, the water supply section has high water supply performance. In contrast to the water supply section (2), the humidifying section (3) has an expanded shape, so that the humidifying section (3) has a sufficient area for evaporating the water. In addition, although compactly formed, the water supply section (2) can supply a sufficient amount of the water as described above. The structure enables the water supply section (2) to supply the water of an amount corresponding to the amount of evaporation of the water at the humidifying section (3) having the large area. |
