PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil separator capable of suppressing such an occurrence that the oil mist separated at the collision part is re-scattered by the gas flow, and of enhancing the oil mist separating performance. SOLUTION: A gas passage 16 through which the oil mist-containing gas flows is formed in a housing 13, and in one part of the gas passage 16, an orifice 24 for increasing the speed of the gas flow is provided. The collision part 25a with which the gas flow collides is provided in the downstream side of the orifice 24. The collision part 25a is furnished with a water/oil repellent processing surface 27, and at the periphery of this part 25a, a hydrophilic/lipophilic processing surface 28 is provided.
