The installation has a gas processing circuit (3a) arranged with a denoxifier. A regeneration circuit (3b) regenerates a catalyst and comprises a gas inlet (17) in a catalytic reactor (1) communicating with an upstream conduit (19) and a gas outlet (21) communicating with a regeneration gas discharge conduit. The discharge conduit communicates with an outlet unit (29) for heating a gas, and a gas inlet. A gas heating unit comprises a gas exchanger (33) in which the gas circulates without mixing at a first temperature and a second temperature from the conduit. An independent claim is also included for a method for treating gas.
