<p>The invention provides a system (1) and method of producing a fiber composite component, the method including the steps of: providing a molding tool (2) for supporting a semi-finished fiber product (3) thereon, wherein the molding tool (2) provides a plurality of cavities or openings (6, 6') to feed or convey matrix material to the semi-finished fiber product; feeding matrix material to the semi-finished fiber product (3) supported on the molding tool (2) via the plurality of cavities or openings (6, 6'); and expelling matrix material remaining in the cavities or openings (6, 6') upon conclusion of the feeding step. The step of expelling the remaining matrix material typically includes forcing at least a portion of the matrix material remaining in the cavities or openings (6, 6') into the semi-finished fiber product (3).</p> |
