The present invention relates to a cathode active material containing lithium transfer metal oxide based on at least one transfer metal selected among Ni, Mn, and Co. The lithium transfer metal oxide contains at least one metal selected from a group comprising Ti, Co, Al, Cu, Fe, Mg, B, Cr, Bi, Zn, and Zr, and a large amount of the metals are positioned on the surface of the lithium transfer metal oxide. According to the present invention, a secondary battery based on the cathode active material can have rapid charging properties and an extended service life because a specific amount of the metals are located on the surface of the cathode active material. |
