The lithium transfer metal oxide contains at least one metal selected from a group comprising Ti, Co, Al, Cu, Fe, Mg, B, Cr, Bi, Zn, and Zr, and a large amount of the metals are positioned on the surface of the lithium transfer metal oxide. According to the present invention, a secondary battery based on the cathode active material can have rapid charging properties and an extended service life because a specific amount of the metals are located on the surface of the cathode active material.
