A manufacturing method of low oxygen titanium (Ti) powder using self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) according to the present invention has a characteristic of performing SHS for a raw material containing titanium oxide, metal reducing agents, and reduction surfactants in a vacuum or inert gas atmosphere in order to produce low oxygen titanium powder. The manufacturing method according to the present invention provides an advantage of effectively manufacturing titanium powder containing 1.5% or less oxygen contents. Also, reaction time is within a few seconds or a few minutes, a process time is short, and the process is simple and has good heat efficiency and productivity, compared to an existing manufacturing process.
