PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damping composition that easily enhances vibration damping properties. SOLUTION: The vibration damping composition contains a polymer material and a filler for enhancing vibration damping properties thereof. The filler includes calcium carbonate and scale-like graphite. A mass ratio of the scale-like graphite to the total amount of the calcium carbonate and the scale-like graphite is within a range of 0.3-0.7. As a filler, mica is preferably further included.
