PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent air bubbles from growing on the inner surface of a plastic layer by firmly and strongly bonding the plastic layer to the surface of a wooden core material. SOLUTION: In the wood core plastic molded body, the surface of the wooden core material 1 machined in a vertically long shape having the same cross sectional shape is coated with a plastic layer 2 including thermoplastic plastic 21 molded by being extruded from a molding hole 10 of the mold 3 together with the wooden core material 1. In the wooden core material 1, the plastic layer 2 is directly adhered in close contact with a coated surface 1a in an unsealed state having a micro-airspace 18 exposed to the surface. The plastic layer 2 in close contact with the coated surface 1a of the wooden core material 1 is mixed plastic 20 formed by mixing a powered-state or fibriform filler 22. In the wood core plastic molded body, the plastic layer 2 formed of the mixed plastic 20 is kept in close contact in a state of intruding to the airspace 18 exposed to the coated surface 1a of the wooden core material 1.
