Staggering of filter rod segments

The method involves locating the filter segments (F1-F3) of an article group (100) in the conveyor drum (10) in the longitudinal axial direction. The individual filter segments are received as segment article sub-groups in the retainers (A1-A3) of the conveyor drum. The filter segment (F3) is placed in the retainer (A1) in the conveying direction (T) of the conveyor drum. The filter segment (F1) is added in the retainer (A2) by spacing apart from the removed section of the filter segment (F3). The remaining retainer (A3) is added with the filter segment (F2).
