With the purpose of preventing so called "pirate pull" at a fireplace (10) equipped with a burner (14) working intermittently, the smoke gas conduit (15) from the fireplace (10) to the chimney (16) is shaped with a vertical, downward part (17) and a connected horizontal part (18). Together these form a thermal lock, which prevents the flow of gas when the fan at the burner device (14) switches off. In order to increase cooling, especially by the horizontal part that is connected to the smoke gas conduit (15), at least partially by a hood (22) that is connected to the air intake for the fan. This provides good air pre-heating and cooling of the pipe part, which in part reduces the tendencies for current within the smoke gas conduit during rest periods, in part producing the precipitation of acid products out of the gases.<IMAGE> |
