The cooktop (1) has a gas burner (3) arranged in a cooktop plate (2), which comprises an opening (12) for primary air supply to the gas burner. The opening is covered by a lid (13) that covers another opening in a closing position by electromagnets. The lid uncovers the latter opening in an opening position by a spring element. The spring element and the electromagnet are equipped in such a manner that restoring force of the spring element and retaining force of the electromagnets act against each other. The lid forms an even surface in the closing position.
