The microscope stand according to the invention is applied in optical microscopes of large amplification and having large fields of view. The aim of the invention is a microscope stand which exhibits an optimized dynamic response. The object to be achieved consists in configuring the couplings of the main parts of the stand in such a way that internal or external stimulations do not lead to any disturbing relative displacement between an object and an objective. The object is achieved according to the invention when the coupling points present between the main parts of the microscope stand have differently defined degrees of stiffness.
