Transport apparatus for an automatic cable packaging unit

The transport apparatus of an automatic cable packaging unit consists of a first conveyor, which unwinds the cable from a drum and transports it in the direction of its longitudinal axis. A second conveyor, consisting of two endless belts arranged in series in the axial direction of the cable, transports the cable perpendicularly to its longitudinal direction to the individual stations processing the cable ends. At least one endless belt of the second conveyor is adjustable in, and in opposition to, the direction of conveying of the first conveyor. The cable is pushed by two separately controllable pushers into the clamping receptacle of the two endless belts.
