An apparatus for X-ray fault imaging tomography utilizes the detected currents highly efficiently, correctly measures the detected currents, and permits the formed image to be affected little by the fluctuation of the X-ray intensity. Namely, an X-ray detecteor array (2) is continuously irradiated with X-rays emitted from an X-ray tube (1) via an object (11). Under the control of first switches (41 to 4502) and a second switch (6) controlled by a control circuit (9), capacitors (31 to 3502) which are charged by currents detected by X-ray detectors (21 to 2502) initiate a cycle of measurement - reset - charging successively as soon as the preceeding capacitor has been reset. The order of initiating the cycles is so controlled that the current detected by an X-ray detector positioned near the center of the X-ray detector array is measured at a point of time which is very close to the time when the current detected by a reference X-ray detector is measured.
|
