Device for coupling a dental handpiece 1 to a drive piece 2, which are provided with internal ducts 5a, 5b; 6a, 6b for the coolant fluids, these ducts forming a junction in the coupled position. A seal 11 made of soft plastic is interposed between the front posterior wall 12 of the handpiece 1 and the front anterior wall 13 of the drive piece 2, a positioning pin 10 interacting with a housing 10b ensures the exact positioning of the ducts in the coupled position of the pieces. The coupling is produced by an axial pressure coupling system which compresses the joint 11 around the junction of the ducts. The system is for example a screw-nut system 14, 15. <IMAGE>
